Development of Algal Products & Processes
Renewables East and the InCrops Enterprise Hub are organising a series of regional algae meetings to lever out the East of England capabilities in algae technologies. The first event will address the opportunities and challenges in high value applications, bioremediation and bioenergy, with a special emphasis on current and upcoming funding opportunities. Businesses interested in adopting algal technologies and/or developing algal products will have a unique chance to learn about algal capabilities in the region and network with leading academics and industry players. A Guided Tour of Algal Labs will be available during the lunch break for delegates who register in advance. The presentations finish at 4.00 pm, followed by an extended networking until 5.00pm. Lunch will cater for vegetarians. Directions to the venue The city of Norwich is easily accessible by road, rail, bus and coach. It is also well served by the Norwich International Airport which offers direct flights to and from several cities in the UK and international connections to 200 cities worldwide. We encourage delegates to take public transport to the event as parking is limited on campus. City buses 25 and 35 run regularly from the rail station forecourt and Norwich city centre to the unviversity campus (approximately every 12 minutes). About the InCrops Enterprise Hub The InCrops Enterprise Hub promotes innovation in alternative and non-food crops. The aim of InCrops is to introduce businesses within the East of England to the opportunities available to them from new and existing crops. Areas covered include: - The use of plant-derived renewable and natural products in key sectors; - Stimulation of the rural economy through high value enterprise; - Promotion of low carbon economic growth.
