Renewables East are hosting this Freee Event

Wednesday 24 March – Kings Gate Centre, Peterborough, PE1 4YT - 8:30 – 13:30

The CRC covers large business and public sector organisations in the UK whose half-hourly metered electricity consumption for the calendar year 2008 is above 6,000 Megawatt Hours (MWh).

The CRC covers emissions from energy use that are outside the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) and Climate Change Agreements (CCAs) – including both direct emissions resulting from the combustion of  oil, gas and LPG together with ‘indirect

emissions’, i.e. electricity consumption. In general, organisations spending more than  £500,000 a year in the UK on electricity (via half-hourly meters) are likely to be included in the scheme. The scheme targets the UK based energy use emissions of the entire

organisation and it is the parent organization who will take responsibility for the entire group.

If you are one of the organizations affected by the scheme then this event will provide an overview of the CRC and give a thought provoking insight into the potential benefits and pitfalls of the legislation.

Speakers at the event include:

McKinnon & Clarke – international energy consultancy

The Environment Agency

Resource Efficiency East
